Be Confident
Be a Star
Be M3

M3 Studios is the West Midlands leading part-time theatre school, we teach 3 – 18 year olds to be triple threats who can Act, Sing and Dance to a high standard

Ages 6-11 Years (Juniors) - Classes

WE WILL MAKE YOUR LITTLE STAR SHINE!

At M3 Studios, our classes have the perfect combination of learning new skills, building your child’s confidence and igniting their talent whilst having lots of fun!

These are high energy and high Intensity classes, designed to encourage and challenge children aged 6 – 11. We create a safe and disciplined environment, and adopt a more professional approach to our teaching, whilst understanding that students are more likely to learn when they are enjoying themselves, therefore we always aim to balance discipline and fun. Our teachers are specialised in working with students of this age range and all derive from a professional background, with West End credits and prestigious training to their names.

All of our teachers are regularly enhanced DBS checked and First Aid trained for your complete peace of mind.

In Musical Theatre classes, we dedicate an equal amount of time to Acting, Singing and Dancing. This class is a fantastic option for students who wish to enjoy all aspects of performing. Students who partake in Musical Theatre at this age will be welcome to audition for our Public Musicals which usually take place every other year as well as our annual Summer Showcase and Christmas Gala.

In Drama, we focus on breathing, posture, grounding, support, resonance, confidence building as well as the spoken voice – improving clarity and diction. We have designed a structure that focuses on warm up exercises that help to focus the students and get them ready for the class ahead, before diving into the bulk of the subject of that lesson. We have great methods of helping the groups to feel like a team, such as improvisation and team building exercises.

We regularly work with excerpts from published plays and scripts to help develop an understanding of working with text, key to any budding actor.

In Singing, we develop techniques in breathing, diaphragmatic support, resonance, posture, tone placement, vibrato and pitch. Again, we encourage a team feel where students will sing as more of a choir and also will regularly be provided with the opportunity to sing solo, with the support of their peers. We work with the support of piano accompaniment/backing track, but also take time to work acapella (without accompaniment), this really tunes the ear of all students and encourages them to keep in key whilst singing in unison but also working with harmony. Students in these classes will regularly learn material from their favourite Musical, and we often select students to enter for various local events.

In Dance, we place emphasis on flexibility, poise, posture, rhythm and work on their ability to pick up choreography. We always ensure that there is sufficient time dedicated to warming up before jumping into a routine. We will focus on corner work and progressions as part of this warm up in order for students to harness their technique and learn vital dance movements. The remainder of the lesson will be directed towards learning a routine from popular Musicals. Our teachers have been trained under the NATD association.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz classes are ideal for those that wish to really develop their dance technique and range. We work intensively on all aspects of dance, taking their flexibility, co-ordination and core strength to the next level. Choreography in this class will explore a wide range of repertoire and encourage but also challenge the students who partake. Our teachers have been trained under the NATD association.

Contemporary dance is a fusion of jazz and ballet dance. A genre that works on fluidity, improvisation and expression of movement.

Commercial street dance is a dynamic and versatile dance style, often seen in music videos, concerts, TV shows, and advertising. It draws inspiration from various genres like jazz, hip-hop, and street dance, and is characterised by its sharp, sassy, and high-energy movements. The focus is on creating visually appealing and engaging performances for a wide audience.

Acrobatic Arts, also known as Acro Dance, is a fusion of dance and acrobatic disciplines, emphasising the blending of classic dance techniques with gymnastic elements. It focuses on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through acrobatic movements incorporated into dance choreography. Acro builds upon foundational dance skills like ballet, jazz or modern dance, incorporating elements like musicality, expression, and line. M3 teachers are accredited by Acrobatic Arts which is a global Acrobatic organisation.

Aerial Hoop is a circus art form where performers execute acrobatic movements on a circular steel hoop. Generic forms of dance are included in this art form whilst suspended on the hoop, incorporating a variety of spins, poses and transitions, showcasing strength, flexibility, and grace. Our teacher Marni has trained in London along side Cirque Du Soleil directors and holds a degree from the National Centre for Circus Arts in Aerial hoop.

My daughter currently attends 9 disciplines across M3’s vast amounts of offerings and loves every second of every class. She gets to be taught by majority of the team all of whom I know genuinely care for her wellbeing, her happiness, her success and provide her with an environment to flourish. From the first class she went to, we have never looked back because the experiences she gets, the exposure they create and the nurturing they provide is truly amazing. Every aspect of what M3 do is done with passion, care, professionalism and creativity. Thank you M3 for all that you do - it is so appreciated. We look forward to lots more years of wonderful lessons, shows, competitions, show cases and much more!

A superb company who not only deliver inclusive and fun sessions, but also achieve a real level of high quality performance. My child has developed incredibly since joining both in his ability and (more importantly) his confidence. The team of instructors are very welcoming, engaging and professional. It has been worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Couldn't ask for a better place to send my daughters. The experiences they have been given are nothing short of incredible and we absolutely love being apart of the m3 family! The girls attend both the Telford branch for Musical Theatre & Cannock for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Troupe & Private lessons.
